I not only shaved my head for Marcus, but I also shaved it for a great friend who lost all of her hair just 2 weeks ago. She lives in SC and I am going to visit her when I return from the tour.

Marcus is in good spirits, but will not return this next semester because his chemo goes until the end of October. Candice is my other friend whi I shaved my head for, and I have no idea why her name wasn't published either! She is in remission, but is still undergoing chemo to make sue it's all gone. We both work at Sonic and they can't wait until she returns to work with us! (I just started so I haven't worked with her yet to see if she's a good manager or not hehe...)

If you could please pray for Candice, she hopes to return this August!!! Yay!!!

My First SWU Choir tour.

Well Hello to all. It has been a bit since I wrote anything substantial! haha. Well here goes... I am currently in a host home on the 2007 Spring Tour. We have had 11 concerts already by the end of day 3! Whew! Things started out ok. I lipsinked the first 2 concerts cause I couldn't sing!

Here is where we have been so far:

First Wesleyan Church- High Point, NC Sunday evening

Hayworth Christian academy- Monday morning 8:45 ugh!!!

Green Street Baptist academy- Monday Afternoon
Rushwood Park Wesleyan Church- Monday evening (Wes and Chris were there!! Yay!! And Gabe!!!! I love lil Gabe!!!) (She has pics mom!!!)

Gaston Day School- Tuesday AM
Holy Angels-Tuesday afternoon 1pm and 1:30 pm

I only know about thursday night. We will be at Brevard Wesleyan home to many of the choir members.

Ok. We are all sick! If everyone could pray for the rest of the tour! WE have seen many spectacular buildings. We have sung in some awesome auditoriums. But, tonight was the best, not because of the place we were in, but because of the brokenness this afternoons activities brought, the unity we pulled from the experience. Holy Angels is a ministry that started 51 years ago. They started as a convent of nuns who stook in mentally and physically handicap people and give them a place to stay. The first child is still there but now is in her 50's and works there! We were all so touch ed and broken for different reasons. There were some who were humbled. There were some who were broken, and those that felt such compassion. Some of us have had different experiences with those with special needs and found it a great joy to be able to connect with the children, teens and adults there. One of the favorite residents, Monty, died this morning. We came at a time where they all needed healing. He was 21 (if I remember correctly) and had down syndrome. He always had a smile on his face they said. He brought joy and life to the place! We had sung our two concerts for them and then Monty's best friend came in. She wanted us to sing one more song. We agreed to sing "Beside The Still Waters" a paraphrase of Psalm 23 before we knew the magnitude of what this last song was. We sang it for them, and even though 75% of the people there didn't know what it meant, the caretakers did. They were in tears, and in worship with us. It was a great experience. Before we got to the Holy Angels homes, I was thinking about how much I didn't see what we were doing on the tour. I didn't feel God as much as I expected. I came from higher expectations listening to IWU chorale and being on the EXALT! 2005 team. But God revealed Himself in a way that was beyond what any of us expected. It was awesome. Well, I have to be up at 7:15 and am battling a cold and a sore throat, and a bunch of other junk! So please keep us in your prayers as we finish this tour out and I'll post when I return.

I finally buzzed myhead...much to my fathers approval. BUT I only did it for a good reason. there is a friend here who has been admitted to a Pittsburg Hospital and is not doing all that good...he has cancer. So his roommates decided to shave their heads. With me hanging out with them and being right there when they decided it, I decided to shave my head that night. It was a freeing experience! I do have before and after pics...but right now I only have after pics...the before ones will come.

So since the whole reaosn we did this was for Marcus, if everyone could keep Marcus in their prayers...We would and I'm sure he would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you all and enjoy this new picture of my new and never to happen again look....haha.

College life... back at it!

Back at SWU! Yes only returned Sunday night the 14th. Registration is at 8:30 am. Here are some pics of college life as we just return for our second semester of our college career...

( I had to show off my new digital camera from Christmas...one of the best gifts!) But let us not forget the greatest gift of all even out of the holiday season, Jesus Christ.

BACK AT HOME!!!

Well after a long flight home and a long time waiting to get home... I am finally home. Classes ended on the 14th of December, but the choir students couldn't leave until Sunday the 17th because we had graduation stuff until 4pm on the 16th. That was a good time. (pics from that will come when I get back to the college...) That night I went to "The Astro" with 2 of my best friends! We had a rockin time! We saw Santa Clause 3! I give it 3 stars... it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't see it twice in theaters!

Then Sunday I had the awesome privilage to run sound for the combined services of First Wesleyan Church and the Alive contemperary service on campus. The children had their musicals. The 5 year olds and under are called the "JoyBells" and they sang two great songs! Then the 1st graders-6th graders had a wonderful play called "Hotel Bethlehem." The children were wonderful and did an awesome job. It was alot of work to put everything up and work it the right way for the play, but it ran great without any technical difficulties!

Sunday night I went with my 2 best friends again to a church in Pendleton SC for their Christmas cantata. It was ok...but the food afterwards was wonderful! I had a fun time with the two of them! Then I left SWU at 10:30ish for a friends house on the border on NC and SC and had a great time... we just sat around Monday and left for Charlotte around 4 and had ourselves an adventure. It was great to spend time with him and get to know each other a lil better.

When I got to the airport, the flight dude told me, well you might miss your connecting flight in NYC @ JFK, so we'll talk to you later...get to the gate and more info will come. Varied reports came in throughout the evening and finally our plane left at 9:05 from Charlotte, NC after a 1 hour and 5 mins delay and our connecting flight was leaving the sametime we arrived, but Charlotte talked to JFK and then they held the plane for my connecting flight to Syracuse! I finally made it home at 3am on Tuesday morning! Whew!

Tonight we had our IMPACT Christmas Party. there were 21 teens and 3 adults and 1 baby in attendance! It was wonderful! we had a great time of food and fellowship! I really enjoyed seeing seeds planted in the last year, the seeds that I planted before I left, come to fruit! It was great having those that were here, here! When I left we were running 10-15! It is wondeful!

For the times we struggle with everything in life...With sin, with school, with work, with anything else that may be thrown at us, we need to just give it to God. ThatÂs the only way it's gonna happen! ThatÂs the only way things are gonna get fixed. The only way we're gonna live happy lives is if we give it to God. I need to give it ALL to God. Thank you Lord as YOU are the God of second chances, for everything you've forgiven all of us for! For all the worries you have taken, for all the lies you've erased, for all the hatred that has melted intlove. Foror some reason, God told me to post what was on my heart. The sin that has so invaded our world sickens me. With all the stuff floating around the internet, the newspapers, magazines and the television, how can this world turn back to Him?! The only way the world will be able to turn back to HIM is if we turn back to Him fully surrendering our lives to the one who created us and gave us that choice. I've been told that here on campus there are too many hypocrites. I have seen it to. I really don't like what I see. We are to be a school that reflects the life and the ways of Christ. Yes, nobody is perfect, but I have seen and heard too much.

If I, in anyway have offended anyone on campus, I give you my sincere apologies. I regret it if I have. I am to be a model for Christ, one following after Him in EVERYTHING I do. If I have said something to somebody, that has personally offended you, please come tell me. If I have said something that you believe is questionable, please come talk to me! If there was ever a doubt in your mind of something I've said or done, please forgive me. I have seen, as I said earlier, too much noChristianan actions, heard to many noChristianan words and it needs to stop. God tells us to be the initiators of what he wants to get rolling, so hergoes. I.I believe that God has something GREAT in store for this University. I believe that there is something that we can do to change this campus and the world around us. I have had too many conversations with people who are NOT satisfied with the life here on campus. With the lack of encouragement from each other, with being confused about what to do next. People, STEP UP AND SEE WHAT IS GOING ON! LOOK AROUND YOU AT THE PEOPLE THAT ARE FALLING! God calls us to life those up that are falling for the way of the world or that are falling away from God due to the lack of Christ-like attitude.
I REALLY don't want to see this campus get a bad reputation from anything! I really believe there is a wonderful group of faculty/staff and students that live, commute and learn here. I really believe that something can be done about the world around us that is literally falling apart. I can see Jesus right now, standing in the Heavens, crying, begging, pleading that we turn to HIM! There is only one way the world will be changed; it's if WE start the fire. If WE start the revolution. If WE change our ways to fit the way the LORD has told us and intended us to live. In order for this to happen, We need to end our ways of lust, hatred, malice, lies, and any other sin that can come to your head. You know what you have done! You know what God has forgiven you of, leave it with HIM once you give it up! DON'T GIVE IT BACK! We need to have our hearts clear to do what God has given us to do.

Colossians 3:8 "But now rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips."

Colossians 3:12-14 "Therefore, as god's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against each other. Forgive as the Lord forgave youAndnd over all these virtues put on LOVE, which binds them all together in PERFECT unity."

Too many times, I have heard of grudges being held on campus. In this passage it CLEARLY states that this is not as it should be! There have been steps taken to rid this aspect of sin off campus that I have seen and I applaud those who are making an effort to live for Christ. I thank all of you who HAVE fully surrendered you lives to Christ, who are striving for perfection in Christ, even though you know it will never be done until heaven. I applaud all of you who attend the discipleship meetings, the prayer groups, the devotionals, the study groups and the small groups here on campus anoff. Thesese are examples of how we are to live our lives. John the Baptist, Paul, Stephen (in Acts chapter 7), Abraham, Daniel, Esther, the Apostle John, Deborah, and Moses. The list goes on! I think there is a way we can take care of these problems. Model you lives after these men and women mentioned in this paragraph. None of them were perfect, but thestripeded for perfection, toward the prize that was in the end. Other than Jesus Christ himself, these were some of the most faithful men and women in the Bible, we really could learn something from them.

I will leave you all this morning with a prayer to Our Heavenly Father, asking HIM to bring his peace guidance, wisdom, and mercy upon this campus.

Dear God, Father, Master, Lover of our Souls, thank you for the things you lay on our hearts. Thank you for the way you provide. Right now this campus is in trouble. I ask that in the coming weeks, months, and years, however long this process takes to heal and work itself out, that you would give guidance to the staff, the faculty, the trustees, and most importantly the students here at SWU. I ask right now Father, that you would cover this campus, guard this campus from the evils of the world. Guard the students for those that proclaim your message throughout the area and those that travel across the world to give it to those who have never heard of Jesus Christ. I ask that the spiritual battle that is ensuing amongst the many students here on and off campus would be fought with your mighty hosts, and not alone. I ask that you would have everyone think before they say, look before they do and seek after you. I thank you for the efforts that have been made to move toward your love and your life Lord. I thank you for the mercy that you have given us, the strength from day to day to deal with everything. As the semester is closing out, I ask that you would give everyone here a peace. Give everyone here the patience and the focus to get done what needs to be done for the semester. For those whose time has ended here, I ask that you would guide and direct their every move as the move on out of the college life, into the real world. I ask now that you would give all of us a sense of community, the best part, in my opinion, of college, the campus life. Please let your spirit hover over us as we strive to learn more about you, strive to learn more about your love and more about your mercy toward us. I thank you Father for the strength you give us day to day. For the faith you give us day by day. Thank you for the Spirit you have guided to this place. I am always in awe and wonder of the love you show us. I ask and give all of this in your precious Son's, Holy Name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

After reading this, make sure you give the effort to strive more toward Him. Make sure you strive more to give Him your everything.

A tribute to my siblings

My Sister and Brother have informed me that I have negleted my big brother duties....and I am sure that my dog agrees!!! So here is a tribute to my brother and sister, and my dog, that I miss so much.
So here they are....my sister that I miss so much and I wish I had time to talk to, my brother that I miss playing playstation with ( I challenge you to a basketball game when I'm home!! I'll win!) (And my sister I miss playing board games with!!!) And my dog I miss petting!!!

So here You have it!! I really do miss my family, and I miss my parents, but I talk to them everyday!! haha...I love you both!! See you at Thanksgiving!!

College Life is soooooo Crazy!!! Here is my schedule!!! I am packed EVERYDAY!!!!! I have like no time to stop!!! There is so much going on here!! I am on the Chapel planning committee, Bible study worship team here in STU-B! Chapel worship team, overnight shifts at McDonalds, full time student, Cross Country team, and a whole lot more!!! It is so crazy here. There is a Winter Worship Retreat here going on from the 16th to the 18th.....of November. Three Season Ant is the worship team for that weekend.....it is gonna be so sweet awesome!!!

Well...I have alot of homework to do so talk to you all whenever I can!!

And so all of you know...I am now single....

Finally.....AT college!!

OK!! I am finally at SWU!!! I'm loving it here!!! There are so many new people to meet!! You guys know me and people!!! I left on Monday the 14th or 13th for Pennsylvania to go to my grandparents!! I drove 7 hours!! It was fun. I had a great time with my brother and sister on the way down...then we stayed at my grandparents for a day. Then on Wednesday...Mom, Dad, and I went to my grandparents in NC....which was a 10 hour drive and I drove all but 3 hours of it!! It was crazy. Now you all have to know something about my car. If you sit in it for long periods of time...it hurts!! If you go over 70 it shakes!! The front shocks are like virtually gone!!! Anyway...we got up at 5:30 am the next day and got to SWU on Thursdayat about 10:30 am.

Thurs. Fri and Sat was full of orientation stuff!! It was really neat to get to know some, well alot of my classmates....alot of the people I'll be spending the next four years of my life with!! There are some really weird ones....and some really cool ones...you all know who you are!! Sat afternoon...I went to pick up Sarah from the GSPI airport. Brittany and Jared....two of Sarah's friends...went with me. It was a good time....I WAS SOO EXCITED TO SEE SARAH!!! I MISSED HER SO MUCH!! NOW WE SEE EACH OTHER EVERYDAY!!! WE'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS AND WE CAN'T BELIEVE IT IS FINALLY HERE!!! ANYWAY! My schedule looks like this....Monday and Thursday 9:25 to 3:50 for classes...4:15 for Cross Country...and sometime after that for workstudy. Tuesday and Friday looks alot better!! 11:45-2:30 or 4:00 then Cross country or workstudy. Wednesday is 10-11 then 11-12 and I'm done. I LOVE IT!! Well, I'll update some more later!! Also please be praying for both of my legs...I've been placed on limited status...no contact sports or hard thumping with my legs...1 month. I have a STAFF INFECTION (YES IT CAME BACK AGAIN...but not as bad) AND two torn muscles in my left leg!! SO PLEASE BE PRAYING...EVERYTHING IS CLEARING UP...BUT IT IS STILL ONE MONTH NO HARD HEAVY COMPETION!!! THE SEASON IS ONLY 2 1/2 months long!! Championships are in November...and its like 60 down here!! I'm gonna love it!!

I am 18 years old!!! I can't believe it!!! I am going to college in 43 days!!! I am VERY busy these days!! Work, college prep, church, Sarah, family, other friends, guitar piano.....The list goes on. I now can drive whenever!! I love it!! Our friends from the Pine Grove Wesleyan Church are in and spending my birthday with me!

On Saturday, I got to see Sarah!!! I was awesome!!! I finally met her family....her dad's whole side!!! They are a cool group of people....I LOVE HER COUSINS!!!! Family camp started....and my family is going to NC for our Story family reunion which is going to be sweet....Cause I don't know or remember most of my family!!! I can't wait!! We leave @ 4am!!! Well, i must go spend time with my family since I am 18.....so people talk to me!! I'll post after the reunion!!

Well, after who knows how long....I'm finally posting!!! After constant badgering from a certain girl who will not post on her own website......I will not mention her name or her postion in MY life....but most of you know who I'm talking about! ANYWAY.....

What is new......well....it is warm in the north country!! We already have reached the high 80's maybe even touched the 90's one day....air conditioners are virtually non-exsistant!!! Oh well...that's the North Country for you!!! As you all konw...I recieved a ticket back like 3 months ago. That ticket was voided...cause the trooper and the DMV didn't agree on my license!! Well, two Thursdays ago....I was driving home from work....minding my buisness except for my speed....and I well.....got caught going over the speed limit only those close to me will know. Not high enough to get my license taken away, but high enough. I have to go to court tuesday to find out what the fine is. Oh well....

My two jobs are going good.....VERY VERY tireing.....but hey....it happens!!

There's alot to tell...but so little time....email me sometime people....and we'll catch up a little more!!!!

Easter Monday, till now.....

Well,

Alot has gone on since I posted last. My weekend with Sarah was awesome!!! I just love being with her!! She's amazing! Anyway...for an Easter gift, she gave me a build-a-bear that she had made from the build-a-bear workshop to remind me of her...so on Monday we went to the Syracuse Mall and I built her one to remind her of me! One thing about that that was really weird, but cool at the same time, was that Sarah and I both put camoflauge pants on each others bear...that wasn't planned!!

Well after that, we spent some time in the Syracuse Airport and then I said good-bye to her at the security entrance and she left! (tear!) Then my family started our two week vacation!!! FUN STUFF!!! We went to my grandparents in Pennsylvania and spent a few days with my cousins and grandparents which was really cool!! There will be pictures later!! Then we went down the East Coast and made our way to Southern Wesleyan Univertiy. We camped on the Chesapeke Bay....25 steps away!! It was really neat! That afternoon, before we camped on the Chesapeke, we met my uncle in Annapolis, Maryland and had dinner and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream!! It was really neat to be in the State Capitol...I mean we parked 50 feet from the back door of the Capitol building!!

We then blitzed into my Nana and Papa's house and stayed there for the night. Then we took off for SWU!!! Friday afternoon, I was greeted by the most beautiful girl I know, Sarah of coarse!! Then I had meetings all afternoon with music professors and with other admissions people!! Fun stuff!! Then we had dinner with Sarah and her friends in the new SWU dining facility!

Then we spent the weekend in Table Rock State Park, South Carolina! It is gorgeous!! Table Rock Mountain looks like that mountain that Chuck Norris had to climb in Delta Force 2!! The area up there is awesome!!!
Our campsite was huge, check out my mom's website for the pic's! One of the nights, it rained. Our tent was faulty, so my brother and I in our tent and my sister in hers, all woke up a little wet, but with puddles on the ground!!! Great times!!! We had campfires, Nature walks, Movie times, Quiet alone times with God, and just times to bond with my siblings!! There was one afternoon where they were chasing me through the campground, (we were like the only ones there) and they both thought they could catch me!! HEHEHEHEHE!! They both fell....it hurt...but they both laughed afterwards. I fell as well, off running on my own, so I have no room to speak!!!

Then on Sunday we went church hunting. There are so many churches out there!! We ended up at a United Methodist church, where the preacher was VERY good, but there was WAY too much "HIGH CHURCH" influence! Too much tradition!! We didn't know where the church service was going, and some of the songs had no tempo...it was just an organ!!

Monday, we went back to SWU! I had an audition for the Divisional Scholorship in the music department. It went great!! Then we ate lunch with Sarah, again!! Then she and I got to spend a little time walking and talking, which was awesome!! Then I had to say goodbye to her!! (TEARS, TEARS!!!!!!) We drove off, and I will not see her unless, by her father's awesome, wonderful mercy they would side step to West Chazy Family Camp between the 1st and 4th of July!! (hint, hint!) I will not see her until August, when I become a full-time student of Southern wesleyan University, where I'll be Majoring in Music with the Church Music Emphasis and minoring in Youth Ministry.

Then we went to a hotel where we swam and relaxed!! We had dinner with my cousin Sherilyn, which was cool! Then on tuesday we went go-karting, finally!!! And we played Arcade games as well!! It was really sweet!!

Now we are back at my Nana and Papa's where it has been raining, so I'm here posting on my Papa's computer while everyone is resting!!

Well, its time to go, so...I'll post pictures later, and hope to hear from alot of you guys!!!

She's Here!

Here we is!!! It may not be clear...but...yeah. It's our favorite picture. Ok everyone, It's official, SHE IS MY GIRLFRIEND!! YEAH!!!!!

She got into Syracuse on Friday @ 11:30am and I ran to her and almost knocked her over! (Everyone there probably thought we were weird!) We went to a buffet with my parents and had a great lunch!! It was good food!! Then we came back home and practiced our songs for Sunday morning. Then her and I were the "entertainment" for the kids while we showed the "Passion of the Christ" on Friday night, It was fun!! Then afterwards, we had to go to the local pizza place....a gas station, to get PIZZA! On the way there we started talking about the bf/gf subject and in a way I asked her again to be my gf...and she said yes!!!

Saturday we went to her grandparents' house up north of Potsdam and spent the afternoon with them. And that afternoon, we had our first DATE!!! We went to the Massena movie theater and we saw the 'Shaggy Dog' with Tim Allen. It's funny at parts, but other parts it's lame!! I'd see it once. Sunday morning we sang the Martins version of "All People That On Earth Do Dwell," Sarah, my mom, and I all sang awesomely!!! Everyone loved it!!! Then she played her TRUMPET for offertory, and we played and sang "You Raise Me Up." We enjoyed PRAISING GOD!!!

Well, I gotta go....I'm sure she'll post on her blog about the trip on Monday or Tuesday.....so Later!!!

Today, I got up at 7am (all by myself aren't you all so proud!!!) and went to work. I worked for 8 hours then another almost 3 at my other job....I was at McD's from 8am to 4:35pm!!! LONG TIME!!!!!!!! I wasn't even scheduled for it!!! They called me in!!!

Things here are getting busy in preperation for Easter, and the long awaited vacation after all of it!!! We are showing "The Passion of the Christ" on Good Friday, that evening. Please pray that it would make a huge impact on the community!! We really want to see a huge response to this!!! We also are going to have a "Resurrection Celebration" which is a thing for kids where we have an Easter Egg hunt, crafts, and the Easter story...this is really focused on the Birth through 5 th grade group. So also please pray the the lives of the kids and their parents will be touched by the Easter story and Christ reaching out to them through us!!!

Well, church is in a few hours...and i gotta go to bed...so...Later to all!!

today was really weird....
i got to work @ 10:30am...I started @11 and worked until 6pm. Now, work was going good, until this happened. There was a lady in line, who collapsed and had a seizure. Our manager didn't know what to do...so I called 911 and was got the paramedics there...duh!! Which really threw the lobby into a tizzy!! And then it was just really crazy to figure out where we were in the list of orders!! Our lobby emptied!! The paramedics got there 5 minutes later...and took care of her...but the whole ordeal took 35 minutes!!! They took her out and took her to the hospital which was only 2 mins down the road...and with all the ambulances there and the fire and rescue vehicles in the parking lot....traffic was a mess!! The people didn't know where to go for the drive-thru!! So I had to go out and direct traffic!!! It was crazy!!! Please pray that everything is ok with the lady...she was none responsive when we were talking to her and when the paramedics were talking to her...her daughters were freaking out...so please pray for them as well...the come into McD's all the time!!

Other than that....things here are great!! We had another lenten service...at the Baptist church down the road...88 people were there...IT WAS GREAT!!!! The youth band played again...and we led the congregation in worship with 8 SONGS!!!! We're also playing at the next one at the Christian Church down the road next Tuesday!! 8 MORE SONGS!!! Pray for the next lenten service that everything will be great and GOD WILL MOVE IN OUR AREA!!!!!

I FINALLY got the CD!!! The EXALT! CD came 2 weeks ago...and I have listened to the CD !!TONS!! of times!! The CD sounds better than I thought!! The songs are so awesome!! I'm sorry EXALTERS, that I didn't post sooner!!! But, as you can see....yeah. I've been busy.

Ok..."All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name." we sound ok....not as good as I thought at first..but then again we didn't record it around the congregation. "Prepare the Way" WE SOUND GREAT!! I hear every part!! "Friend of God." Some of the others that I've talked to have said that this song was doctored...but it does sound a little better!! "Lord, You're Holy." We sound PHENOMINAL!!!! I LOVE IT!! It's probably my 2nd favorite song on the CD!! "Who Am I?" This song is probably in my opinion the one with the best vocals on it! We sound awesome! "Rejoice, the Lord is King" We knew the song better than I thought we would! Candace is an awesome drummer!! Thank you so much for your ministry to us and those that'll listen to the CD from now on!! "Shout For Joy to the Lord" I think we sound great for this being the alumni song...it'll always be remembered with Dave's motions of the doo-doot! "Hallelujah, Praise the Lord" this one rivals 'Who Am I?" Again, GREAT job guys!! 'Let There Be Joy!" Ok...so I'm partial to this one, but we did ok...I didn't hear the TENORS!!!! "Friend of a Wounded Heart" Ashley, as always, you sound awesome! Our entrance on the chorus is awesome!! Dave, supurb directing!
"Lord Have Mercy" This is an awesome worship song, and I believe that there was an awesome impact on the congregations we served and ministered to. David, your vocals are tremendous!! you are an awesome tenor and you have great patience and disipline, keep it up!!! Don't lose sight of your abilities!! And FINALLY! "We Have Overcome!" This was my favorite song on the CD!! It is an awesome song done by The BTC!!! Austin, you are phenominal. As I've said before, keep the will of God as your CENTER focus, which i know you will..you're a pillar of the EXALT! choir, dude! I'll see you later in the ministry!! Choir!! WE DID AWESOME!! This song was a great ending to the service! Tenors, we were strong!!

Dave, I want to thank you for the chance to worship, lead, and serve the body of believers and those still searching!! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into EVERYTHING!!! Exalters, I hope someday we can get together and sing together again!!

Hey Guys....is me....finally...Well.....

First of all, as you all saw...I got my first flat tire. I sorta came to close to the curb...and my hub cap fell off the rim and I had to chase it actually...and it punctured the side of my tire. You can see everythingelse about that in the previous post.

Well, only a few select people know this next one....I was pulled over...by a New York State Trooper...he clocked me @ 75mph in a 55 mph zone...whoops. BUT I DIDN"T GET A TICKET FOR THAT!!!! When the cop pulled me over...he asked me for my license and registration....(proof of insurance is not needed here!), and I gave it to him, of course. Then he came back with the registation...ok you all know...my name is Kenneth Davis, JR. My Dad's name is Kenneth Davis...the cop asked me if he was my dad...hmmm..SR...JR....you figure that one out!! Anyway...he then came back and only cited me for not having a NY state license....I got off on the speeding ticket....My parents and I have been around and around with the DMV about my license...but there are still discrepincies with that!!

Ok...We had a community lenten service...two tuesdays ago. It was the first one...and it happened to be a youth service!! Our church hosted it...so we gathered a bunch of teens...(and an older guy....hehehe) for a youth band and we rocked the place!!! We were packed!! We had 94 people!!! It was awesome!!! Kenny's First Flat Tire

Hi! This is Kenny's mom! I wanted to share a couple pictures of Kenny changing his first flat!

This is what happens when you misjudge the distance to the curb and pop your tire!

Kenny receives guidance from his father who received guidance from HIS father! Many nights have been spent like this in the Davis family!

The lugnuts were put on with a power wrench and it makes it VERy difficult to break them. Couple that with the spare being rusted into the trunk and you get 2 guys using every ounce of muscle and strength to get it all loose! Putting on the spare wasn't a problem at all.

Friends, please inform Kenny that if you ever have a flat tire and need to leave it on the side of the road for a while, DO NOT PARK IT IN FRONT OF A FIRE HYDRANT!!

Luckily Kenny didn't get a ticket for parking there and his car wasn't towed. It was there over 5 hours! On the main street in town! God had mercy on this one!

Email Kenny and let him know how blessed he is! Then ask him about being pulled over last week!

COLD!!!!!!

Well, Monday morning was VERY COLD!!! It was -26 degrees when I went to work...and my car would not start!!!! So, my mom had to take me to work!!! But my dad worked on it and it started up during the day!! It's been really cold, but not to much snow!!! We had a dusting last night...but there wasn't much at all!!!

Tuesday we had youth meeting. HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD!!! (Great Song by the way....) We had 17 teens!!! It was awesome!! Check out our youth blog, http://impactyouthministry.blogspot.com. Things are going great with the youth ministry. We went tubing last week which was really sweet!!! I had never gone tubing before...I was really sore afterwards!!!

Today I worked from 11-4pm and came home and went to evening church, our prayer meeting. We're talking about the Old Testement Tabernacle. There are alot of things that I never new!!

Tomorrow I am off the entire day!!! I can't wait!!! I'll have time to work on my guitar and piano stuff!!! (One certain song, though!!!)

24 Hour Weekend

13 hours in one day, 11 in another. 2 jobs. Not home at all.

Well, since i have 2 jobs, there's always the chance of being scheduled for a very long day. It just so happened that they came 2 days in a row. At the end of both days my legs were tired. (big paycheck, though!)

Thursday night I went to Syracuse to a Houghton College choir concert. I left at 4:45 PM and got back at 2:15 AM. The concert was very good. I met a few new people, friends of Dave, my friend who drove. And also, I had dinner at Burger King. (high treason against McDonalds!)

On another note, in the musical world it is a sad week. Anthony Burger, one of the most phenominal piano players died of a heart attack while he was playing on a cruise with the Gaithers. The song he was playing was, "We Shall Behold Him." We know he now beholds Him!

By the way....47 days!

Electricity is a wonderful thing!!!

Well, up here in the north...there has been freezing temps and ice and snow...and power outages!!! We lost our power on Friday morning at around 11am while I was at work...so I went through the day not knowing until I got to my evening job!! Then we went through the night with out electricity and heat!!! It was fun!! Then we went to some friends' house for showers and to warm up, while my dad and a friend went back to our house and the church and hooked up a generater. Then we had some cleaning to do!!!

My Admissions Counseler was supposed to be here by noon, because he's on his Ontario/New York tour for his recruting segment!!! There was a big snow storm that went through Canada, and all of my CANADA friends can attest to this, and it dumped alot on them. But there were multi-car crashes that left 4 people dead, and a total of 108 cars in 3 crashes.
andy was very helpful and gave my family, my parents, and I alot to think about! After we were done talking about the college stuff, we went to NY Pizzaria, where I work, and had dinner. Then he took off for his next visit.

The power came back on at 11:30 PM.

It snowed Friday night and we got 4 inches and then Saturday we got 2 inches. Right now it is snowing and we're supposed to get 5-8 inches...as of now...maybe more!!

Today is the day of the Daytona 500!! Jeff Gordon had 2nd...but is lagging behind right now, after he was pushed into the wall by Tony Stewart but the race ain't over yet!!!! We'll see who wins!!!!

This morning we had a great service! God is GOOD!!

I've been searching for chords for alot of songs and have found alot of good songs thanks to Cowboylyrics.com and thirdday.com!!

Well, I should watch the Daytona 500, may the bestman win!!!!

Well...Today we got ICE!!! 2 inches of ICE!!!It's crazy!!! Snow...rain...ice....Make up you mind OLD MAN WINTER!!! anyway...I slipped and fell twice today....and I got a bruise on my knee today...but as I told Sarah...I'm ok. Last night I got the bestest news i've ever had this year!!..Except that I was accepted to BBC...It may be bigger....but..I finally have a friend coming to visit me!!!! SARAH!!!!!!!! She's coming during her Easter break...and we're probably going to sing during Easter Service...that is if we figure out whose turn it is!!!

Valentine's Day, VP Cheney, and the sniffles....still

Valentine's Day....the best day of the year....Happy Valentine's Day to all of my friends out there...(sorry its late). Well, some of you may know about Sarah....other don't cause they don't return my phone calls...nobody in particular...alot of people tend to do that...anyway...Sarah and I met on EXALT! 2005 this past summer....I really didn't start talking to her until, October sometime...we talk atleast 3 times a week. Sarah is a student at a wesleyan college....She is one amazing girl.... we're bestest friends...well...yeah...anyway...I sent her flowers and a card yesterday....and she....well....got teary....too much joy....blue Irises did the trick....I'm unusual...so I didn't get the normal flower...

VP Cheney.....this whole situation is just crazy....just because there was a mistake made be a head of state...they have to attack the administration and think there is something to uncover...like VP was drunk...or VP was illegally hunting ....not the right stamp on his tag...leave the poor guy alone!!!

The sniffles are getting out of hand...its getting better...but 3 feet of snow and cold weather don't help!!! Pray that God will take the sniffles away soon!! Ecspecially since I work at 2 resturants!!!

Well, today is Sunday. We had church this morning which went great!! Our piano player wasn't there...so i got to be the piano player! Lucky me! I also sang harmonies with my mom, who led worship. I also was scheduled for special music and I sang 'How Great is Your Love' By MercyMe. We also had a fellowship dinner, which is a monthly dinner after church that we have. I LOVE BEING A WESLEYAN!!! We eat and eat!!! You Wesleyan's out there can relate!! Well, about my title...the last two days I've had the sniffles...and when I get sniffles...it's annoying!!! I still sang this morning, and did ok. Well, dinner's ready...so Later!!!!

Ok.....I'm not quite 18 yet...so I have to wait for my license......Well, I went there today....DMV....and they said that i can't drive after 9pm without an adult on a NY state license!!....SO..... I'm not getting a NYS license until i turn 18!!! I gotta wait 5 months....

Well, yea. Ok...back to more about my life....most of you know that I LOVE MUSIC! Well for those of you that don't know my background....my dad is a pastor and I've been in church all my life. Now my mom's side of the family is very musical, so I guess I inherited their genes!!! I've been in every school choir Ive had the chance to be in...every church play...and a few school plays...most of them were main character spots and there was almost always a solo!! In 4th grade I started playing trumpent...but in 5th grade I had a bad experience and so i quit!!!
I didn't play any instruments until about 2 1/2 years later when I moved to the Detriot Suburbs where i picked up piano. I play guitar also...as i've said before...and I can't put it down!!!!

Snow, work, and driving

A long day today. 10 AM - 7 PM. I work at McDonald's in the mornings and at New York Pizzaria in the evenings. Some days it's very long!

About the snow. Between Sunday and Monday we got 2 feet of snow and today we got about an inch and it's still coming. They are predicting snow the rest of the week which makes it really hard to drive on these back roads.

Back to a little bit about my life. My dad is a pastor in the Wesleyan denomination. He's been a pastor for about 15 years of my life. We have moved A LOT! 17 times in fact! 6 different states. Yeah, I've gotten around. But so far NY is ok.

I have been musical my whole life, but just recently, in the last 4 years, picked up instruments on a daily basis. Started the piano 4 years ago and the guitar last October which will really help being a singin' preacher!

Well, let's start here. First of all, my name is Kenny, obviously. Second of all, I am a highschool graduate. Third of all, I play the guitar. I looooooove the guitar! My friends can tell you that. I live up in the middle of no where somewhere between Watertown, NY and Saranac Lake, NY near the foothills of the Adirondacks.

I'm currently looking at going to college at either Bethany Bible College in Sussex, NB, Canada, or Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC. I'm going to be a singin' preacher! I plan to go for a music major.
